2024 Industry Leaders Forum - Development & Construction
Thursday, January 25, 2024 (8:30 AM - 10:00 AM) (EST)
Description
The BNP’s 2024 Industry Leaders Forum (ILF) will kick-off on Thursday, January 25, with Development & Construction business leaders strategizing around common challenges and finding opportunities for shared success. The conversation will revolve around the application of technology and its impact on all businesses, including Buffalo’s recent Regional Tech Hub designation by the federal government, the health of our start-up ecosystem, and the importance of industry-specific platforms.
Join us for the January 25th Development & Construction ILF, along with strategic partners CONEX and NIAOP, for a discussion on Making Construction Tech a Priority in Western New York.
Construction Tech Panel of Experts
Frank Ciminelli II, President & CEO of Arc Building Partners, will discuss the construction sector’s role in the tech revolution – why it matters – and how disruptions can create money saving efficiencies on today’s jobs.
Ana Alcocer, Virtual Design and Construction Manager at Arc Building Partners, will discuss daily implementation of innovative tech on jobsites.
Omar Abdallah, COO/EVP of D.V. Brown & Associates, Inc., will give a subcontractor’s perspective on how using tech makes a difference, from pre-construction to project completion.
Chris Lafleur, Director of Electrified & Automated Construction at Moog, Inc., will discuss opportunities for the electrification and automation of construction equipment.
We will also be joined by members of NAIOP to discuss the regional real estate and development market, as well as Josh Veronica, BNP’s Manager of Government Affairs & Economic Development, for an advocacy update focused on how New York’s climate policy will dramatically impact building codes and Buffalo Common Council efforts to address affordable housing in the City.
