2024 Industry Leaders Forum - Small Business
Thursday, September 5, 2024 (8:30 AM - 10:00 AM) (EDT)
Description
The Right Connections: BNP Small Business Industry Leaders Forum
Buffalo Niagara’s small businesses are essential to both the future of the economy and the strength of our communities. As consumer patterns continue to evolve, small business owners need to navigate changing supply chains and government regulations all while seeking attention from potential customers.
How can Small Businesses compete in a challenging economy with changing regulations?
What are the best social strategies for a crowded marketplace?
On September 5, join the BNP’s Small Business Industry Leaders Forum (ILF) for discussion of these questions and a conversation focused on how the sector can work together to find shared solutions.
Guest Speakers
Ashley Ranslow, New York State Director at the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). Ms. Ranslow will lead a discussion on the governmental and regulatory changes and updates that small business owners need to know. As a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, the NFIB is the voice of small business, advocating on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners, both in Washington, D.C., and in all 50 state capitals
Drew Brown, Director of Media & Content Strategies and Kate Scaduto, Marketing & Social Media Manager at Visit Buffalo Niagara (VBN) will lead a discussion on how small businesses can make meaningful, and unique connections via social media platforms. VBN employs a staff of talented tourism professionals dedicated to promoting regional tourism and accomplishes this by soliciting national, state and regional meeting planners, motor coach tour operators, travel agents and independent consumers.
