Ribbon Cutting for the Niagara Gospel Mission's New Veteran Recovery Space and Program
Friday, November 7, 2025 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (EST)
Description
Niagara Gospel Mission
Three years ago, the Niagara Gospel Mission started focusing on reaching homeless veterans with their Liberty Suite, which is reserved for 6 homeless veterans. This is so the Mission would never have to turn away a veteran when they come for our help. Now, the Niagara Gospel Mission has developed a specific veterans recovery program, the Re-Deploy program.
This program takes the veterans through the current recovery programs at the mission, and also offers counseling to veteran's-specific needs like PTS, suicidal ideations, combat stress, reintegration into civilian society, and others. We have also renovated a ten-room space to house these veterans and train them not only in reconciling relationships in their lives, but job skills, financial readiness, and other skills required. With housing and three meals a day, these veterans are cared for and appreciated.
